Criminology students contribute to shifting the Canadian agenda on crime from punishment to prevention

Master's student Jeffrey Bradley and recent graduate of the MA program Stela Murrizi are helping 16 Canadian cities in the Canadian Municipal Network on Crime Prevention (CMNCP) to harness evidence to reduce crime. With Irvin Waller and a team of undergraduate students, they produced action briefs to guide federal and provincial governments, mayors, police leaders and other municipal stakeholders on cost effective investments in people that will tackle the causes of crime. The action briefs are available at http://safercities.ca/publications for full release later this year.
