Jeffrey Monaghan is moving to Carleton University

Our colleague Jeffrey Monaghan joined the department last summer for a one-year contract as a replacement professor. He has recently accepted a tenure-track position in the Department of Criminology at Carleton University and will be leaving us at the end of the month. At Carleton, he will be conducting research and teaching on topics related to the globalization of surveillance and the role of Canadian expertise in the export of security techniques and technologies, the surveillance of environmental and Indigenous social movements, and the knowledge construction practices associated with the contemporary policing of "radicalization." We thank him for is dedicated work in the department and wish him all the best in his future endeavours!
