Justin Piché and Kevin Walby publish a book chapter on penal tourism

Justin Piché (Associate Professor, Criminology, University of Ottawa) and Kevin Walby (Associate Professor, Criminal Justice, University of Winnipeg) have published a book chapter proposing new directions for penal tourism studies entitled "Dark Tourism, Penal Landscapes, and Criminological Inquiry".  Other works published as part of their Carceral Cultures Research Initiative can be accessed via their website.

The latest publication by Piché and Walby is featured in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia on Criminology and Criminal Justice - Crime, Media, and Popular Culture edited by Michelle Brown (Associate Professor, Sociology, University of Tennessee), who is also one of two keynote speakers for the 2017 Critical Perspectives / Representing Justice joint national conference being held at the University of Ottawa from May 4 to 5, 2017.  To learn more about the conference visit uottawacrm.ca
